Whether you’re training for a strength event, an extreme sport, or you want to kick your strength and conditioning training up a notch, you need to enter the NORCAL Zone, a zone of its own.

GROUP CLASSES

All Levels Strength & Conditioning

This hour and 15-minute class incorporates strength and skill progressions, followed by conditioning workouts of moderate to high intensity with brief recovery work and stretching at the end. This class is scaled up or down depending on your fitness level. If you recently decided to add fitness training to your daily routine, you’ll start with no weight loading. In following weeks, you’ll eventually increase loading and technical difficulty as you meet your capacity to perform a given number of quality repetitions at a set weight. Fitness competitors and those with higher technical competency will incorporate traditional barbell and dumbbell lifts, Olympic weightlifting, and bodyweight gymnastic strength training into your strength cycles.

Spartan Training

You’ve entered the Spartan and Obstacle Course Race and you need to get ready. Get specialized training in this class. Spartan Training is appropriate for beginner racers who can handle the workload of the Intermediate Strength and Conditioning class. Learn the skills needed to complete the obstacle course including wall and rope climbs, tire drags and flips, weighted carries, monkey bars, and bear/army crawls. Condition workouts are longer and include running to prepare you for the race.
